Turmeric Ginger Lemon Immunity Shots

Finally sharing my favorite Immunity Shot with all of you. I love having this during the rainy/cold season for extra immunity protection. I hope you enjoy it too!

Turmeric contains curcumin, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Inflammation is incredibly important, it helps fight foreign invaders and has a role in repairing damages in your body,

Chronic inflammation contributes to some common health conditions, such as, Heart Disease, Cancer, Various degenerative, Alzheimer’s Disease

In short Turmeric may, :

  • Help detox the Liver

  • has Antibacterial properties

  • lessens inflammation,

  • combats cellular aging

  • improves your memory, is high in antioxidants which fights free radicals, helps prevent cancer, may help depression and lowers the rick of heart diseases.

Most of the Ginger’s health benefits come from gingerol, the roots main bio active compound. It has anticancer, anti-inflammation, and anti-oxidation properties.

Ginger is great for but not limited to,

  • Digestive problems (indigestion, nausea/vomiting, upset stomach)

  • High in Antioxidants

  • Great anti-inflammatory

  • Lowers Cholesterol

  • Insulin Reduction

With all those benefits, adding in Lemon juice to the mix may help protect us from infections, cleanse the body and strengthen the immune system. I added in some black pepper to the mix as black pepper contains Piperine which is a natural substance that enhances the absorption of curcumin by 2,000%.

This mixture will last in the fridge for about 5 days. You can also opt to freeze the mixture but I recommend making them fresh weekly. If you have a sensitive stomach, have a small meal prior to having a shot of this powerhouse immunity shot.
